Excellent dress. unfortunate booking issue

It was a lovely dress and very comfortable, lighter than most others I tried on. Was one of the few dresses, I feel, which didn’t require you to be both a size 6 and 10DD breast size. Service is what caused the 4 star- I checked ahead to see if this particular dress was available for my dates before going in to try in a small. Tried on in shop and fell in love. Unfortunately within the 2 hours of calling ahead and trying on someone else booked the dress online. The staff weren’t overly sympathetic but encouraged me to just get the medium, I agonised over getting the medium which looked ok but felt too big. I went for as it was a week out of my event. I left the store upset (didn’t take it out on staff as not their fault) but called literally 20 minutes later to ask to cancel as I was sure the medium was too big. Was asked to pay what I thought was a very unreasonable cancellation fee which made it not worth cancelling. The dress arrived 5 days before the event (Monday event was Thursday). It was way too big and I spent the night pulling it up, but it looked great on photos. Returning it was very easy. Summary; would I book again? Probably but way ahead of time to ensure I got the right size, and don’t expect any niceties if you change your mind.
